Helping Hands Ministry
Our Mission: Sharing Christ’s love by helping create safe and functional home environments.
1. What we do.
- Minor home repair for Single Parents, seniors, those with disabilities, and others in need.
- Clients pay only the cost of materials, if any. We will provide all receipts. If unable to cover this cost, we may be able to make other arrangements.
- No cost for labor.
- If interested, we will also teach the client what we are doing.
- We will let you know if we are not able to do the work, and (if we know), what is needed to fix the problem.
- Note: If you are a renter, we will not work on anything that is the responsibility of the landlord, but we will still work on personal property.
2. Who are we.
- Volunteers/members of MCC.
- Skilled but not professionals (not licensed).
- For the security of us and the client, we will typically work in pairs.
- Not bonded, insured, nor are we any sort of business.
3. Types of things we do.
- Running toilets, leaky faucets, leaky pipes
- Light switches and outlets, ceiling light replacement.
- Door knobs
- Hand Rails
- Holes in walls; Drywall repair
- Appliance hook-up (washer/drier, etc)
- Moving of semi-heavy furniture/appliances within the home
- First floor gutter clogs
- Basically, ask us and we will let you know
- Note that we will typically not do cosmetic things like redecorating (wallpaper, paint, etc.).
