MCC Preschool Staff

The needs of each child are of the utmost importance. The selection of staff is based upon their love for cihldren, their Christian commitment, and appropriate educational training and teaching experience. All teachers hold a bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in education and are chosen because they have expertise in training and caring for young children. Assistants hold a minimum of a high school diploma and attend a minimum of 15 hours of in-service each year until they have 45 hours. In addition, staff members are trained in communicable diseases, first aid, CPR, recognition of child abuse and attend 10 Step Up To Quality, professional development hours each year.

Our staff considers their part in the program a true Christian ministry to children and always appreciates any special concerns you may have. We feel that in maintaining a high teacher-to-child ratio of 1 to 8 in the 3- and 4-year-old classes (with a typical group size of 14-16), and 1 to 10 in the Pre K classes (with a maximum group size of 20), we can achieve an excellent setting for a close teacher/child relationship.
