2011 Highlights
Update on Crosstown's Winter Carnival Family Fun Outing (FFO)
Our Family Fun Outing (FFO) featuring FX Live, a high energy way to remind families that working together can be fun, was a huge success! Families played together, people invited their neighbors and co- workers and the church was filled with laughter, fun and connecting! People came from Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, OGB, Stewart Elementary and one family from Lexington! Our approximate count was 1,109 people!
OGB Holiday Store Recap From the Langstons
The 2011 OGB Holiday Store provided two truly awesome days for our community's families and disadvantage kids. With your help we made possible the dreams of a wonderful Christmas for hundreds of disadvantage kids and their families.
Over 1200 individuals were served including 300 families and 650 children under age 18 from 51 different Zip codes!
Preparing the actual Holiday Store began November 14. Over 300 volunteers served from November 14 - December 17. On the weekend of the Holiday Store, 20 families were served every 30 minutes for over 9 hours! On Saturday when the doors closed at around 3:30pm every food item was claimed, all toys & gifts were gone except for a small amount of clothing and household items. Thank you Lord!
Crosstown Family Trip to the Dominican Republic
This fall, families from Crosstown traveled to the Dominican Republic to supply the locals with water filters, build relationships, and grow in their walk with Christ. Watch how they were able to impact those in the D.R. and how they themselves were impacted by the trip.
Skate-O-Rama was Awesome!
Crosstown loves to throw a party! We had over 400 people at Castle Skateland in Loveland for our Skate-O-Rama Family Fun Outing (F.F.O.). This was an outreach event and we saw lots of new faces! Thanks for helping to make it a great success!
Big Apple Adventure Vacation Bible-Big City Success!
Big Apple Adventure was a BIG success! We had about 500 kids and leaders here each night learning how faith and life connect. Over 195 kids accepted Christ during the week. We raised over $9300 (and counting!) from the kids' offerings that is being donated to the Gray family and their water filtration mission project in the Dominican Republic. Crosstown will help install and distribute these water filter systems when they go on their family mission trip to the DR in October.
