Soles for Souls began as a community outreach project by a small group of 12 people. The idea came about as the group was studying Rick Warren’s book, 40 Days of Community. Since our first project in 2005, Soles for Souls has distributed over 11,400 pairs of gently used shoes to local shelters and community centers across Cincinnati and Dayton.
November 2011-Soles for Souls collected 13,386 pairs of shoes from MCC, schools and community centers in Cincinnati. Many thanks to you and your families! These shoes were delivered to the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition, First Lutheran Church, Homeless individual Partnership, Eve Center and Cinderella's Closet, helping over 2000 people in need. Our next collection will be in October 2012.
