If your days are filled with digging crayons out of the carpet, drying spontaneous eruptions of tears, and cutting gum out of someone’s hair (including the dog’s), then you’re probably a mom of a preschooler. Being a mom is the most fulfilling job you’ll ever have. It’s also, however, the most exhausting!
Take time for yourself to rejuvenate with Christian moms who share your experiences and join MOPS. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an international organization dedicated to providing a caring ministry for mothers of preschoolers (infancy through kindergarten). MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections and experiencing God’s love through relationships and resources. MOPS exists to meet the needs of all moms who share a similar desire to be the best mom they can be! Childcare is available. Please register before you come so we can ask you how many children you will be bringing and get to know you a little too
There is a nonrefundable fee of $60 to join MOPS (this fee is subject to change). This fee supports MOPS International, which includes a one-year subscription to MOMSense magazine, weekly MOM e-mail messages, a free book and DVD. It also includes a nominal fee for our local group to cover meeting costs. Please note that if money is an obstacle, scholarships are available.
Want to get even more involved with MOPS at MCC? The MOPS Steering Team is seeking great moms like you to help serve in the role of Mentor Mom. Mentor Moms typically have children high school age or older and can provide inspiration and guidance to young mothers. Steering team meetings are generally held the 1st Thursday of the month at MCC from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Prior Mops experience is NOT required – just the desire to serve and connect with other women. Mops will start up again in Sept.
